5G is bringing the Cloud Computing – Coming Soon

You might have heard of the terms Cloud computing and 5G networks, usually in the context of anything tech.

And 5G is a particularly interesting one, which has invoked a lot of curiosity. And everybody has had a say in this, from tech experts to conspiracy theory buffs. Some of it is good and a lot of it is plain and simple fluff.

Of course there are good and bad things that come with technology, no matter which you might consider.

Here, we’re going to talk about the great things that we’d be getting from 5G. To be specific, we’re going to delve into the topic of 5G Edge computing. Something that is creating huge ripples in the tech communities around the world.

You’re going to find out exactly what 5G is, and how it’s impacting technological progress in conjunction with cloud technology.

A Brief Discussion on 5G Network Technology

The first thing that pops up in our minds when we hear anything related to 5G is high-speed internet.

Well, yes that is true.

But there’s much more to it than meets the eye.

Nomenclature is rather simple, with the ‘G’ indicating generation and the number before it specifying which generation it is.

So, 5G is the 5th generation of the digital cellular networks that we use. It can be for making phone calls, or using the internet and things of this nature.

But unlike the previous generations of this, internet speeds are going to be a lot faster.

The main thing you need to know about 5G is that you’ll not only get better speeds. But the coverage is going to be very good as well.

And this is exactly the thing that will allow cloud technology usage for more and more people.

We’re getting to see this trend as of now, as this is already a huge success. But now with 5G connectivity, more and more people will be able to reap the benefits.

And as of the time I’m writing this article, 5G NR or New Radio is the new kid on the block.

How 5G is Helping with Better Applications of Cloud Computing

Both of the technologies that I’m talking about here, are going to drive growth in the future.

The interesting thing here is that, 5G is going to help with the scope that cloud technology can have. As there are a lot of different things that goes along with the proper performance of this technology.

5G with all the advantages it brings to the table, is going to help take things to the next level.

It’s not just in the matter of the internet speed that you’ll be getting. But all the other features that there will be with 5G connections.

Cloud Computing for Mobile Devices

To put up an interesting statistic, 48.71% of all traffic circulating on the world wide web is from mobile.

This is only increasing as of now, and by the way. Which device are you using to view this?

A simple deduction from this is that most people, including a lot of your potential customers. Are looking into mobile devices to find out about things, and looking for things to buy.

That naturally requires some form of cloud technology or the other, as everything involves data operations.

Now. when I’m saying data, it doesn’t come in small manageable quantities, but it huge amounts. As is the case with what we call BigData, which goes upto the scales of millions and millions of terabytes.

That’s part of the reason why cloud technology have been facing issues in the matters of mobile devices. And that has got to do with the current state of mobile internet connectivity. Be it the speed available, or the coverage or the frequency bands.

Edge Computing

This is something that is going to be that much closer to the users. And this time it’s going to be in the realm of mobile devices.

Take for example technologies like Alexa from Amazon. You’ll be able to get advanced versions of this from the mobile devices only. 5G will be pushing the progress of edge computing from here.

The other really important effect, which is going to be as important is the really low latencies.

Something which’ll play a key part in proper functioning, as well as various innovations in this field.

Conclusion

Thus you can see that this 5G innovation along with Cloud computing is going to help us massively.

BigData is the central theme of all of this where cloud technology is like a connecting bridge.

Now, as mobile devices are going to be more popular than the other mediums with every passing day. Edge computing, running on the 5G networks is going to help merge all of that for further innovations.

You can expect great technological creations which are going to disrupt a lot of different industries. It’s going to be in the matter of their operations, no matter which level that might be in.
